Over all it wsa a good weekend. Wife was holding a baby shower at the house for one of the ladies at the church, and wanted me to “be out of the houseâ€

Great write up, cool pics - and a grouper!
May try using some real shrimp sometime, just to see what comes up....sounds like a pretty neat variety. Did all that come off of the wreck right there at the channel?

mj, I heard the horn beep when you went by Friday night and heard about the beep when you came back by on Sat night. I thought you had done a 24 on the water
Good to hear you finally got some sheepies after the ten years I been listening about the last ones you caught!!
I'm sure these sheepies will be worth another ten years for sure - using federally supplied bait. Seems like our taxpayer money paid for them fish and I'll be over to collect my share
Good job. Isn't the t&t still covered under warranty from the guy who sold you the TINCAN I? I'ld take it back if I were you - I heard he ain't got nothing to fix now since stealing my boat and fixing it up.

Thanks Guys-
Dave7 - Picked up and used some live shrimp from Jerrys. Just wish he'd open at 5:am like is says. Used that federally regulated bait and was very successful considering the mechanical problems I was having. Lots of folks just "feed therm sheepies", I have technique that works.
I plan am working some other spots that produce sheepies in the 5-10lb range later in the winter months.
The T&T is under warranty, but the solenoid was already a used part and TC let me have it for free. It's time for a new one, and will be worth every penny.

MJ, what you described doesn't sound like solenoid. Sounds like the switch in the control handle. If it started up on it'd own, the switch stuck in the up position. If it went down when tou pushed the switch down, the solenoid is working. Bypass the switch and see if it works.
BTW, the warranty has expired. That'll be $100, please.

Outstanding sunset.
Glad you figured out the switch...our work boat does that....you just have to keep your finger on it or it'll stick in a position.
