Hit the bay around 7:00 this morning, anticipating the early feed around 8:00....My plan was to find an oyster bar in the bay...Through some map reading and planning I selected an area and arrived at it around 7:30....Wind was blowing me just right into the marsh.....Almost like clock work the schoolie trout turned on at 8:00 as planned....Had trout hitting the Cajun Thunder cork and jig at the same time
....Drifted in and power poled down with the outboard
......Threw the old skitterwalk around the opening of this little marsh bay....Had a few excellent blowups....worked the lure in after one of these and a sheephead was behind the lure....
..Ended up landing one 20" 15 spot redfish, think it was the most spots for me so far......ended up picking a coworker up at 12:00....Ended up catching around 30 or so trout with only one keeper making it to the boat....Don't think there are any good trout in this bay, I can't find them if there are any...ran 44.6 miles, nothing broke...Another great day on the water....
Tincan called he said that he landed a 30" snook, plus a few smaller ones, a bunch of reds and a 24" trout....Said he lost a good ole big'n....said it was probably a 40" snook...said he couldn't do anything with it...
