Console Wiring

I have this friend, who has this problem with wiring. He has a 26' CC w/tower, single engine inboard, that the previous owner did a DIY wiring job inside the console. Now my friend is kind of fumbling around trying to fix it so everything works. I told him I could put the word out for him and for sure somebody on this forum would either be somebody, or know somebody that knows this stuff.

Your friend needs a multi-meter, a test light, and lots of patience.
My experience has been that there are more problems with switches than the actual wiring. I usually start at the end of a circuit (at the light, pump, or whatever isn't working) and work toward the power source, until I find the point where there is power.
