The engines (Optis) weigh the same. The price difference is $700. Insurance might go up only a couple bucks over a year. Top end is NOT a factor. Anything else to consider? Resale?

Wife said 'okay' to the extra $700 - chicks must dig more ponies...
Is there anything I am giving up? Anything I can't do with the same engine with less HP?

Other than a few extra Coors Lights, I don't think you are giving up much. BTW, you have a nice wife.

IT WOULD DEPEND ON THE CONFIGURATION OF YOUR BOAT. TOP END WILL NOT VARY MUCH UNLESS YA HAVE A BIG LOAD. THE HEAVIER THE LOAD IN THE BOAT THE MORE DIFF. YOU WILL SEE. THE 90 PROBABLY WILL GIVE YA ANOTHER 1-1 1/2 MILES PER GALLON OVER THE 115. SINCE YOU ARE NOT CONCERNED TOO MUCH FOR TOP END I WOULD GO FOR THE 90. MY .02

Can not see a 90 getting 1 - 1 1/2 more MPG than a 115.

Ever gonna pull a skier, tube, etc? (if the fish aren't biting) If so, the extra horses are a huge benefit.
Gas mileage shouldn't be an issue between the two motors, especially with the Opti's!
