Dec Off shore report

Finally the weather worked out. Got to Carrabelle at daybreak, fishing in Mark's 28ft Sea fox, twin 225's, Mark, myself, Bryan and my son-in law John. We were cold but excited, everything was working out great.
Thought bait fish would be few and far between we planned to troll and to use cut bait on the bottom,

Trolled for about 40 minutes, not a bite, Still too much grass around,
Stopped to try bottom fishing, Good bite, nice and steady for 1 1/2 hours
9 keeper gags in the box. Bite slowed decided to try a few spots on the way to K-tower. The bottom machine showed fish, but we couldn't get them to bite.

Got to K-tower, hoping we could trick the amberjack with jigs.
We got a couple nice ones hooked up but, one cut us off the botom and
a swivle broke on the other. The seas laid down to about a foot in the
afternoon
Tried several spots on the way back, still had lock jaw. Headed in about
2:30, at 45-52 mph, Whew what a ride. We caught nothing but gags all
day, except for the AJ try. Really great day on the water with family and
friends.. Thanks Mark..
