St Joe Oil Docks (12/17)

I have in-laws in St Joe so I always drive by the oil docks just to see what the water looks like when I don't have time to fish. I get there & 10 people are trying to catch trout around the marina. I still have my rod with a Mirro lure on it in the back & I'm feeling pro after my afternoon success (Bald Pont). So I tell myself this should only take a minute, I'll just show a few fellas how it's done. They'e all throwing jigs so I was sure the 52 would do something quick.
Hubris & trout don't mix. Hubris is a fancy word for being full of your self. I didn't catch a fish. None. Had a few follow which just made me try more & end up late. "How is you always take an hour to run up to the grocery store"?
This report could have been real short (0 fish) but my hope is that coming here and confessing my gluttonus and braggart intentions will return me to the favor of the trout gods.
