How is the best way to catch Ly in St Joe bay. Went in july had trouble getting close enough with cast net. Casting from boat in shallow water seemed to spook Ly whenever you get within casting distance. any suggestions. also are there any charts of st. joe bay and the best fishing spots for reds?

Eagle Harbor is full of them. That is where all the guides catch them. Try to get up wind of the school and let the boat drift into them.
