Short Second Hand Report 02-28-06

Just thought I'd pass this along. Freddy talked to one of our fishing buddies a little while ago and he passed this along. Two of them fished about 7-9 miles off the E end of DI today in about 50' of water. Did a little bottom fishing with L/Y's picked up a couple of keepers. The second place they tried, they couldn't get the bait to the bottom account of spotted pinfish (progies?), so they decided to troll Stretch 30s and had pretty good luck. Total boated 14 with 7 keepers (gags I guess, he didn't say which).Water temp was about 61*.
Also, talked to a friend at Brenda's a little bit ago, and he said his crew(didn't say how many folks) brought in 12 today. Didn't say where they came from though.. You know how some folks won't talk location.
Freddy has a crew up for in the morning. I have to go to Ga, dern it..
Hope to get back out there next week, though.
Anyway sounds like things are picking up in the deep water.
