We put in at the fort this morning, I did not know if there would be enough water at the LH since there was a -.2' tide at 8:00. Headed East of rock garden, nada. Moved over west of Redfish point, nada. Moved a little east of Redfish point, nada. As I was eating my sandwich and idleing out I thought we should try on drift a little farther out, bingo. At this time my pardner had one keeper in the boat and on the first pass he boated two more and I put two in as well. Tried the same pass again and he put a 19.5" in the box and I managed three more. Most of the keepers were in the 15.5-16.5" range and not very fat but we did not catch many shorts.
This day ended much better than we though it would.
WTG The fish in the river didn't bite but from 9 till 10:30, when was the bite on the flats
