Got out with a buddy today in his dad's Action Craft. We started out around 10:40 at the Fort headed East of the LH a little and set up a drift in about 5ft. Couple shorts. Moved further East and in a little just North of N Head Rock. Saw some great bottom but couldn't get a bite dialed-in. Released a keeper there over some sand patches. Finally headed West and drifted from 5ft to about 3ft on the West Flats. Same story with erratic bite - several 'just shorts'
Wound up the day with 23 trout boated one or two would have kept but all were released to fight another day.
TT Mirro-Lure, CT+grubs, Catch 2000 and Texas Assassin nothing seemed to out-do anything else.
Got out with my buddy it was a beautiful day out there today. Talked fishing had a cold beer or two he let me drive the AC17 for a while on the way back in - it has a 150 Yammie SWSII - sent my baseball cap to Davey Jones' Locker.
Never got the bite figured out but had one heck of a good time on the water I hadn't fished in toooooooooo long.
