St Marks 3/12

Launched about 10:00 when water was still low. Went to nearshore rockpiles that were desolate last weekend and got about 10 grouper trolling a stretch 25. Put three in the box from 23 - 26". Probably should have measured a couple of the others but let 'em go (against my basic nature I might add).
Went into a secret creek near high tide and got 5 redfish - a couple were pups but three were keepers 22 - 26". Kept a 26" fish. Was lucky it was the first one I caught cause the other two keepers were nearer 22". Didn't catch a trout but saw a bunch of boats over near Black's Rock. I guess that's where the trout were.
Water temp out in the deeper water was 64, on the flats I think it was about 67 and on some of the shallow flats around the creek mouths I noticed a few 70 degree readings.
It may be a couple more weekends before I get a chance to go out again. By then, we may be into summertime patterns with the way the water keeps heating up down there.
Hope everybody has a good week
