hey every one
I'm trying to find a low cost prop for my Mom's 18' pontoon boat.
It has a 1995 40 hp Mercury outboard.
the prop is in very poor condition could it be fixed by some one local?
what dose it cost to repair ? is it worth it for a spare?
Thank's

The welding shop that built your canoe trailer, you've told me the name of the place at least three times and I can't remember what it is

,
works with aluminum. I would think they should be able to rebuild that prop. If they can't, they, or Shell Island, will know someone that can.
I don't know what it would cost compared to a new prop, but having a spare would probably not be a bad idea, anyway.

TC has posted the least expensive prop at $69.95
yea it looks as if it is cheaper to buy one than to get the old one repaired.

I've got a buddy who has an old Merc 40 with a fairly new stainless prop. I'm sure he'd love to make a deal - he repowered and the old rig has been in his carport for a couple of years.
