My old fishing partner came up this past weekend to get in a little fishing time. It had been a long time since we have fished his mashy sands beach house. I know ochlocknee bay pretty well....atleast well enought to know that it is usually the last to turn on around here due to the river being a flow over land river instead of spring fed. Anyway I digress, We fished several areas and found some fish. Not in any real numbers. We had 5 keeper trout both days. We caught about the same amount of shorts. All came off the oyster bars. We used Gulp Shrimp, gold spoons, and other baits. Monday the wind blew pretty good but it was managable. Most of our good fish were caught just after high tide. The incourageing thing was that all of the fish were fat. Even the little dinks we caught should be called chuncks. And we didn't have to break out the Duck Tape. Fishing with long time friends never changes.
