"Flat" out, somebody around here knows how to fish.
I'm gettin a fair bit better casting and with practicing in the wind every few days its coming. I'm still not sure I would have made much of a presentation with that wind. I don't grovel like this often but Lanark is my prime stompin grounds & someday I'd really appreciate a trip with you.

I'd appreciate some details on your gear. What weight rod throws that fly -it sure looks heavy with those "eyes". I looks like a fly they'd have to hit. What fly is it and, given I'm not ready to tie my own, where can I get some?
I'm sure I'll be in the yard later today trying to throw more weird-assorted weighted & air resistant stuff.

I believe that is a Kwan fly (sp?)....kinda like a Merkin crab....I like the color..how about a dry shot of your fly Nole

...I might twist a few up that color, so I can admire them in my fly box
