Beat the crowds - St Marks

Couldn't wait till Sat, so went this afternoon instead. Hit the water about 1 and went to a favorite 3 foot stretch I've been testing. 3rd cast a 22" trout on a saltwater sallie. That was the first trout on this stretch of flats over past several weeks of testing. Fair number of boats were in close, 3' or so.

Moved on to see if reds were acting up and it must be spring. Landed 7 reds 22-25" with a bonus 4 trout 17-20". Goodbye winter.

There was a ton of water and the bite was good in and out. Should be a bang up weekend!

Ahhhhhhh.
