First off let me state I wasn't plan on keeping or eaten the fish I know the water quality is not good. But being only 10 miles from the house and needing an excuse to get out of working around the house.I launched my boat at 7:00 at the leon county public landing off of Crawfordville Hwy.I had never fished this lake before water temp was 70 to 72 degrees.First bass a 3 pounder came on a chart.buzzbait off a tree stump, second bass a 2 pounder came on the same bait off another tree stump.Lost the chart.buzzbait on a wild cast at the tree fish.Tied on a white buzzbait hook a bass around an old duck blind that spit the hook.Work down towards other duck blinds to see if the pattern would hold up.Bingo another 2 pounder off a duck blind.Worked the trees bait to the landing and hooked another bass that spit the hook on a black blade and black skirt.Headed back to the house at 1:30 for dreaded yard work.I saw no signs on bass begining to bed the lake is very swallow average depth 2 to 3 feet with the deepest water I found being 5 feet.My personal opinion is color doesn't matter with a buzzbait Its a reation bait thats sure is fun to catch them on.All in all thought it was a pretty good day on an unfamilar lake.

Sounds better than yard work. How was the water color. Early march it looked like chocolate milk.

The water was still pretty murky bassbuzzard but not as bad as choclate milk.Along the shoreline it was much clearer.
