Keaton Area - 4-13

I posted a message in the Fishing area this morning - I was concerned with the east wind. Anyway, I said I'd report how we did. It ended up being a good day on the water with my 18 year old son.
We had 5 keeper trout, no shorts. Shortest was 18.5, largest was 22. We also caught one keeper red (22.5) and 6 rat reds. Also got one flounder. We lost two keeper trout right at the boat.
All the fish were caught on jigs with Gulp!. No cajun thunder, just bouncing jigs (which is my preferred method). A mentor once told me that "All self respecting fish want to be caught off the bottom".
The wind did give us some problems because it kept blowing us away from where we like to fish (hint). The fish bit better on the rising tide.
There were bait fish everywhere. Saw one baby tarpon flash near the boat and saw an osprey catch a mullet. Again, a good day on the water.
I will post a picture once I can figure out how to do it.
