On the water at 7 something the sun was peaking out. beautifull sunrise and it would turn out to be the highlight of the day. NOAA was smoking something cause it was basically whitecapping in the mouth of the river and I lost my drift bucket on the first drift

. Fished all over from Rock Island down towards Aucilla from 3-8' of water. Tried topwater to jigs on the bottom.....nada. Even tried trolling for spanish. The water was stirred up and from 70-73 degrees. Wound up with 5 short trout, 1 cat, 1 lost BIG spanish, and a big cobia followed a trout to the boat.

I have lost my fishing mojo

Not much radio chatter other than Buckwheat calling for Maybellene

Sounds like a tough day for sure, when you ran across the Mack and the Cobia, what kind of water were you in? What did the Mack go after?

In 4-5' of water the mack hit a jig with candy corn.

When I trolled it was with clark spoons but no hits.

Hey Hit-n-Miss -- Long time no talk to. Sorry your fishing was frustrating this week -- how was your duck season? I got quite a few teal at PCS shooting over your old decoys, but no ringers at all. (Not that teal-for ringers is a bad trade.)

Blindhog I'll tell you these last few years have me about fed up with duckhunting.

There is too many ***holes and not enough ducks.

I went twice and never fired a shot. Now if I shot at 200 yard birds like the rest of the idiots I would have had lots of shots. Need any more duck stuff? I have just about anything. What does PCS look like these days, take any pics?

Where do you fish Blindhog? I hear just about everyone has had a tough time here lately. Loneshark and his kids spent 4 days at Keaton and only got 11 trout and 1 red.

Like Mudduckker said....lotsa hunters and less and less huntable water. Leads to bad etiquette. Got one woodie at Iamonia the one time I went there, was skunked at Jackson once. Tough all over. Heard Seminole had lotta cans and redheads?
I havent fished but once back in March (too cold) but I hitch a ride with Sir Reel occasionally out of St Marks or Econfina. Dont have a saltwater fishing boat.

Blindhog you ought to fish the flats out of your duckboat. If not a flats suitable boat can be got reasonable. A friend borrowed my 30 coots and did real good late season on the cans.

But I haven't got my decoys back yet!!!

PCS still got that god-awful mud?

Someone tell me what is PCS and "the cans"?

PCS used to be the Occidental phosphate pits in White Springs Fla. Can't remember What PCS stands for. Cans are canvasback ducks.

Thanks H-n-m.
You must have been busy hunting with that new four-wheeler thru the winter, haven't heard much out of ya since we saw each other at Econfina.
BTW me and my son have been chasing turkeys lately.

I have been enjoying the 4wheeler but not to good of hunting this year. When I saw you in November that was my last trip for 05. I've been 3 times this spring and posted all of my pittifull attempts at spring catching.

I dont hunt turkey's(too hot and buggy for me) but a friend of mine has been wearing them out.

If I don't catch some fish soon Im going to go out of my mind........I swear I have lost my fishing ability!!!

I'm not even getting any hits to miss
