suggestion for rod handle repair

Some of you techies may have found a solution for this. I have acquired a boat rod with the soft foam composite type handle. There is a small chunk missing in one area. It's probably the size of a nickel and perhaps 3/8 of an inch deep. Is there any product that can be used to fill the hole that will standup to the normal use that a rod would be subject to? Thanks.

Go to the scuba shop and get some stuff called Aquaseal. Its used to fix neoprene wetsuits. If I could find my tube of it I'd let you use it.

So, Rodbow, are you saying SR could patch the hole with a piece of bubble gum, and it would las forever?

One option is to have the grip replaced. A second easier option is to get a Rod Wrap to put on it.
