St Marks Sat 4/22

Waited for the morning showers to clear and headed down. Stopped at Jerry's and talked to Wet Jet. He said it was rough and a slow bite. Oh well, we're going anyway. Put in at the lighthouse and went west near the first stake. I usually go to the second but it was a little rough for the 14' jon boat. Stayed in that general area and ended up with 7 trout to 20" and one 17" spanish. Lost a couple of nice fish. Would've stayed longer but the wind was getting harder every minute. Wet ride back to the ramp.
Started out using various SWA's with no luck. Tried a GULP Shrimp that I picked up this week and the bite was on. CT or not didn't matter. If you haven't tried these yet they seem to be worth the extra $.
