launched from the fort at around 1 to fish the falling tide. Headed west first and set a drift in about 4 ft. It wasnt until we got to 2-3 ft depths that we started catcing fish. First 2 fish were 18 inchers coming back to back. That made me think that we were going a jam up day. I was wrong. Fished the rest of the day both east and west and only managed one more 16 inch keeper. My buddy did have what appeared to be a big cobia break him off and we saw another small one following a ray.
Totals for the day were 3 keeper trout all caught on assassins and about 15 shorts.
