In this part of Florida St. Joe bay is the best snorkling area. A little futher for you but as close to the Keys water as you'll get up here!

Yup.

Later in the summer, when the rock grass is good and tall, some of those rocks are like swimming in a giant saltwater aquarium. :D

And don't overlook the Wakulla River, it's great on a hot day. :D

In fact, take your snorkling gear and head up to Wakulla Springs, cruise around the swimming area. I was up there just a few weeks ago with a mask and snorkle. Fish everywhere, mostly mullet. Very clear water. :D

Be careful in the Wakulla River. A few years ago a fellow was snorkeling down river outside the swimming area and a gator got him.

If that's the same guy I heard about a few years back, I'd a bit him him too, if he was poking at me with a minnow net while I was snoozin'. :smt013

St. Andrews could be a good spot at slack tide. You will not be able to spear but the snorkling ought to be fun.
