I Caught a Trout

Agreed to meet a new client between 9 and 9:30 at his place on Shell Point. Got there a little after 9, he wasn't there yet so I looked at the conditions. Bright sun, falling tide, very little breeze, just enough to throw a little bit of a ripple on most of the bay. Put on a pair of wading booties and picked up a casting rod off the bike trailer. Waded out to knee deep and by 9:15 had a trout on the beach I didn't have to measure, her fillets were easily in the slot.

How's that for the start of a work day? :-D

Of course the rest of the work day was moving and spreading ~20 cubic yards of sand with a shovel and wheelbarrow. Good upper body workout. :D

Gotta love that. One of my other jobs sometimes turns into fishing and it's a beautiful thing.
