SPUN HUB

I HAVE SPUN THE HUB ON MY PROPELLER. IT IS A BRASS HUB THAT FITS INSIDE A 4 BLADE STAINLESS STEEL PROP. A FRIEND OF MINE TOLD ME THAT THESE PARTICULAR TYPE HUBS NEED TO BE PRESSED IN BY A MACHINIST OR MECHANIC. THE CLOSEST ONE HE KNOWS OF IS IN LAKE CITY. IS THERE SOMEONE CLOSER THAT CAN HANDLE THIS ??? OR IS IT AS SIMPLE AS BEATING THE HUB OUT WITH A HAMMER, PICK UP A NEW HUB AT WEST MARINE AND TAP IT BACK IN??? FORUM MEMBERS YOUR SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

THANKS

The prop needs to go to the shop. The old hub has to be pressed out, and a new one pressed in. There's a place in perry that does this, but I don't remember the name.

I had to send the one on my 25 Yammie to Panama Prop. If I recall it was only like $35.
