Some days you're the dog. Some days you're the hydrant.
The wind blew all day. And I didn't catch a single fish.
Guess I just have to keep trying.

Call it paying dues and THANK YOU for posting the kind of report that some folks won't. It teaches us every bit as much as the catching ones.

Lit, that's exactly why I posted the report. Gotta take the bad with the good.
I did notice the water temp was 69 to 72 degrees in Oyster Bay. That's quite a bit cooler than where I've been fishing.
I think, under different conditions, the oyster bars in that area would be productive. Maybe a good summer time area. Lots of deep water pockets around the bars.

JOHN, I FEEL A LOT BETTER AFTER READING YOUR REPORT, NOT FOR YOU BUT FOR ME. I WAS BEGINNING TO THINK THAT I HAD LOST MY TOUCH, I GUESS THE FISH JUST ARE NOT IN THE BAY YET. WENT DOWN WITH JERRY FOR A NIGHT TRIP UNDER THE MOON AND WE ONLY HAD 1 STRIKE AND DID NOT HOOK THAT ONE. MAYBE WHEN IT WARMS UP THOSE TROUTS WILL COME ON THE FLATS.
