Barry, Forgive me for my inexperience, but how do you tell the difference between white trout and sugar trout? - Steven.
Re: Gulp!
Thanks guys for all the input. You have all pretty much confirmed my suspicions.
Like I said before, I like Gulp baits, mainly shrimp and shad, but any time I want to throw a crab, I'll go with the real thing.

Re: Aucilla River Question
I recently married into a family with a cabin at Nutall Rise. I've enjoyed spending the last couple years down there and learning my way around the Aucilla. I've had a couple close calls, but no lost prop yet.
Yeah I know, I just cursed myself.

Re: Gulp!
Yeah, I don't need any help catching sharks and catfish. Thanks.
Gulp!
Has anyone tried the Gulp! peeler crab with any success? I like Gulp products, and I always have a pack of shrimp in the tackle box, but I've never tried these. It seems like it could work on a skittish red, but I'm a little skeptical. They don't look like they'd get the same action as other soft ba...

Freezing AJ?
What's the word on freezing amberjack?
I've always eaten them fresh. I vacuum seal everything I freeze and thought I might give it a try.

The way this kid catches fish, I wouldn't doubt if someone stole it.

Re: Old Tackle
Here is an article about bone hooks found in the Aucilla. Some of you may know Jack Simpson. Jack has one of the oldest fish hooks in North America, if not THE oldest. What makes his find extremely unique is most of the ancient fish hooks taken out of the Aucilla are made from a deer toe bone, but t...

Re: Shear Pin for a 1963 Johnson?
A few years ago, I got a few boxes from Rivers down on Adams Street. Doubt anyone has been there to get the rest. My '62 Johnson gave up the ghost and I may be able to locate a few. If not, the nail works fine  One time, I even used a bass hook to get back up the Wacissa  A little pi...

What's in Bobby's wallet?
We've all seen the tv commercial's for Discover, where the "other credit card companies" customer service is run by a man named "Peggy." Have you seen the latest one with Bobby Bowden? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8aJsNFPDbrA Great, No matter how you feel about how things went ...
