Re: Mosquito Lagoon

Red....Was the guy you got the info from named Scott Tripp? If so he owns that store, and is a very good guild. The Guy I fish with, Ryan Harris, is his brother in law. Scott actually gave me a rod last year because mine had broken and I couldn't afford to replace it, it wasn't out of his shop but o...

Re: Big trout contest........

I now live close to mosquito lagoon so it would be unfair for me to pop in a beat the snot out of everyone..lucky you have the rule of only the Big Bend area. So My suggestion is, in light of the recent situation, it is named the Big Waltdog Trout Tournament.

North of the main basin, i.e. george's bar. This time of the year the water is pretty low for the lagoon and many of th...

I don't think catfish have venom, but who cares it hurts either way. Their slime can cause bad infections. I do know an old salt who is about the toughest guy I have ever meet. I've seen him just about flatten his thumb with a hammer and get banged up a bit and he almost always just shrugs it off. H...

I didn't keep the grouper. jk (right after I said I threw him in the box means Just Kidding). I wouldn't keep an under sized fish..unless I was fishing a tournment! That too was a joke based on some members here a long time ago that had a trout "shrink up" at a tourney!!!
