Great job as always putting this shindig together. Looks like I can make it, won't know for certain for another few days, and will confirm then. Should I pick something on the list to bring, or how about a bag of oysters?

St. Marks 09/17/06

Well, I thought Skag would post a report, but he must actually be working. We set out from the lighthouse in Skag's boat around 11:00 yesterday to fish the afternoon falling tide. Instead of heading to the East River like usual, we took advantage of the exceptionally high tide and set out directly f...

A couple of years ago, I picked up a handful of weedless gold spoons that have a small spring attached to the back end. I attached a 1 to 2 inch piece of bright red bass worm to the spoon via the spring, fish love it. Caught reds at St. Marks and even a snook in Sarasota Bay using that rig.

A buddy of mine in New Orleans uses this recipe, which I like. Dredge fillets through a bowl containing a mixture of egg, milk, crystal hot sauce, and creole mustard. Put fillets in paper bag with Zat's Fish Fry and give 'em a good shake. Shake off the excess cornmeal, and put fillets into the oil. ...

Good points, Steve. Scott is very supportive of the local fishing community and the best way to show appreciation is to return the support with our business.

St. Marks 6/11

Got to the LH a little after 7:00 and headed east. First two drifts produced nothing good. Went further east and out to the stake line for deeper water, and found the fishies. Trout and macks, along with some huge ladyfish and jack cravelle. Had to abbreviate that drift when the cell rang and one of...

Sounds like "the curse of the big drive," as the golfers would say.

Just reading the reports here (I haven't been fishing much recently), it sure seems like the big trout are around this year, but the numbers of keeper trout are a bit down.

Cool mapping, Skag. After you left the birdrack and headed back for the creek, we drifted the east flats in about 3 feet and caught a few trout. Bite sure seemed scattered this weekend.

Frogg Togg Question

I missed out on the big FT purchase last year or year before, but have read so many good things about 'em I've decided to go with one of their rainsuits. Here's the question for some of ya'll who have the rainsuits. I'm 6'4" and 225, which puts me right on the XL/XXL line. Should I go XL or XXL...
