Keaton Offshore 2 Feb

Nice day on the water at 70 degrees and sunny. Started in 50' and worked our way out to 70'. Water temp ranged from 58 to 62 on the surface. Tail end of the outbound tide produced a few fish before noon up and down on LYs...mainly shorts. Headed out to deeper water for the incoming tide trolling and...

After that LOTS of throwbacks then a mixed bag with a keeper here and there plus a few we COULDN'T turn. Bite slowed with slack tide and we wer...

Keaton Offshore 2 Aug

Spent last several days mainly scalloping off Keaton with the family. We got our limit each day and had some quality time together. I did manage to get offshore this morning for a few hours. We had a mixed bag of snake kings, nice spanish, bonito, and 3 keeper Gags. Lost several nice gags and had ma...

My first snapper trip to PC. Made it a family event. Fished Fri-Sun. Caught limits of snapper each day. Also tangled with AJ--too many to count, Peanuts, Bonito, and a 50-60 lb cobia. I lost the cobia at the boat. Had the leader in hand and the hooks pulled. He was huge! I lost sleep that night. Fin...

Very good weather for three days. Pre-fished Keaton tourn Thurs/Fri--didn't do us much good, since our biggest fish was 10 lb and the winner was 22. 62lb cobia was weigh-in during tourn. Bite was slow for us and we had to work hard for our fish. Bite was early morning and late evening all three days...

Slow day Friday. Fished with Don and his Son Ben (aka Don's Boats). Only managed 5 keepers. Probably had 10 throwbacks. Most caught on Stretch 30s. We lost three stretch 30s w/100 lb leader to some big bubbas that went down on us and we couldn't get them up. Lost one to a split ring that came a part...

JUBILEE!!! Man-o-man, the same phenomenon happens in NC; however, I thought we were the only ones that called it a jubilee! I've seen this a few times in my life on the NC coast in the Neuse River when I was growing up. We used to do a lot of "gigging" or "flounderin" with lanter...

Great day on the water. Conditions were 1-3' and short sleave weather around noon. Caught the tail end of the bite from 0800-1000 on the outgoing tide. Boxed 5 fish to 28". We hooked up on a monster fish that we fought for 20 minutes. He kept moving from rock to rock and we could not do anythin...

Not from this area, but I have a 20 Grady White Cuddy with a soon to be installed 200 4 Stroke Yamaha. I have fished the boat offshore NC, the Cheseapeake Bay, Offshore Va, and of course in the Gulf. I have used it for countless species of saltwater fish in all kinds of conditions. I love it. <IMG S...
