Re: February 10th St marks
Nice Phish!! I fished in one of those creeks upriver a few winters ago, but we didn't find any fish in it. It was pretty though and had some deep water in it.

Re: St. Marks Monday Feb. 3rd
Nice, Ted. I guess there's no trout up the river now with the warmer weather and now the rain.

Re: Chilly February
It was cold over at SGI today also. Only caught a few baitfish from the bridge, water was rough and it was windy.

Re: 2020 Fishing Goals
Now, fellers, let's be friends! :-D Posts on this forum are useful to guys like me that don't get down there as much as we'd like to. Most of us want to know if fish are biting, and if it's worth trying to go at a certain time. A slow report might convince you to wait a few days before going, just l...

Re: 2020 Fishing Goals
This is a good thread, SK. For me, I'd like to: 1. Get on the water more 2. Try new techniques and lures I haven't used much 3. Catch more reds and flounder 4. Keep the momentum going. This year has started out good for me, just want to keep it going. 5. Fish with the wife more. She brings me luck! ...

Re: St. Marks 1/25
Thanks, good report. Sounds like the fish are further downriver now. Maybe the cold weather will keep them there a while.

Re: St Mark's, Jan 26
I wondered if the fish were still in there. I caught a few Thursday right below the fort, 2 were keepers. Caught one good one upriver but not much else after that. Not gathered up like 2 weeks ago.

Re: Sea Tow to the rescue
Glad you guys are OK, that had to be scary. I had the starter drive act up on my motor once when me and the wife were in Oyster Creek, thank good ness it finally cranked and we went straight to the landing. I had to get the Bendix replaced when we got back. Good job on the fish too, they must still ...

Re: The Fish Are All on Vacation
Caught a few at St. Marks today, had to work for them as they are not gathered up very good after this last freeze. Got 3 keeper trout and 7 nice croakers. Most fish below the fort.

Sounds like a fun day, good job on the reds! Shrimp is hard to beat on trout and reds.

Re: Net Scarred Trout
I caught a trout in the Aucilla about a month ago that had net marks on it. We used to see a lot more of it, but illegal netting is probably still being done. I hope they catch them, it's not right.

Re: Monday! Back at it (1/13)
I figured this warm weather and rain might turn them off. They bit pretty good Thursday before the weather all changed.

Kenfly, that would be perfect for kids to fish. I caught one on just about every cast, and they bit just about anything you put out there. Green seemed to work best, with shrimp.

Re: St. Marks
Went today and caught a lot of fish, mostly just-short ones. Ended up keeping 4 trout to 19'', a big whiting, and a white trout so I had a good mess of fish. Those short trout seemed to be everywhere, mostly right above the landing. Fun day for sure!

St. Marks
Has anybody fished up the St. Marks lately? Wondered how it's been. I like to fish above Sheild's this time of year and haven't been yet.
