Re: favorite topwater lures??
Had good luck with skitterwalks in gold, juvie speck and redfish, and bone. Largest trout I've ever hooked was on a juvie speck skitterwalk. I don't know how big it would have gone, but it gave me one good head shake and that yellow mouth will haunt me forever-looked larger than the mouth of an 8lb ...

Re: miccosukee specs???
skeeter-eater I think I met you back during duck season while taking out at Reeve's--your boat looks familiar at least. I was in a max-4 camo gheenoe with a longtail on the back.

Re: miccosukee bluegill?
What are you running? I run a mud motor, but the area I was catching them in earlier in the week was accessible with an outboard...2 other boats (both with outboards) were fishing the same pocket. As long as you stick to the trail until you get back there, you shouldn't have any problems.

Re: miccosukee bluegill?
itiger, I went yesterday with a buddy and caught a few back in the gator holes. They were hitting crickets and worms under a bobber. I'll be going back after them again on 'sukee or Iamonia again tonight...I'll let you know how it goes.

Re: Iamonia cats...
Thanks dtntall...Haven't eaten them yet, but I kept the ones we caught. They were hammering crickets and worms as soon as the sun went down.

Iamonia cats...
Late post, but fished Iamonia one afternoon last week and right at sunset the mudcats (brown bullheads) started biting like crazy. Anybody fish for these things intentionally? I don't know anything about 'em. Caught plenty over the years but don't know that I've ever eaten any.

Fish the pads and trails with frogs, buzzbaits, etc. early in the morning or late in the evening.

Motorguide FOUR 743 Foot Controlled Trolling Motor
I'm selling my Motorguide FOUR 743 trolling motor. I picked the motor up virtually brand new 2 summers ago as a package deal with my gheenoe, and have used it one time since. The motor is a 43lb thrust, foot control/bow mount design (the reason I'm selling it-doesn't function as well on my boat) wit...

Not from our area, but thought I would share...
For spring break a group of us decided to head down to the Keys for the week and do some fishing. We couldn't have asked for better weather...sunny skies and the water was calm and crystal clear all week. Unfortunately, we had some boat problems early in the week that we never completely fixed, but ...

I do have some pictures, I'm just waiting on my site-sponsorship to go through so that I can post them. If you're interested, I can email you several pictures until that happens.
