Whoever I'm with. Wife or friends I have my own system just let me do it. Some people don't understand this but it makes it simple.

Re: Lanark Village Mart and boat ramp??

They need to keep the coffee maker running all day even during the summer. lol

Place looks nice inside. Good selection and a bbq place looks to be opening outside.

They also had a nice selection of aqua dream spoons which don't seem to work on lanark redfish....

Re: Where to stay? Port St. Joe/ Carrabelle

In carabelle I really like the the moorings. It's on the water and pretty nice. My wife likes it. The fwc docks there so be safe.

Re: Tarpon

It was fun when we started. Just a few locals who had little clue of the storm on the horizon. The first couple of years we called each other on the phone to share info, met out there at 11:00 AM cause that's when you could see, rotated around so everyone got a good shot, and thought the fish where...

Re: Tarpon

I've always wanted to try the beach in front of dog island. Seems like a good place. Just never can make it out their. What ever you do don't set up a trout drift and blow in front of anyone on anchor fishing for poons. They really really really really don't like that. It's annoying. Yeah. About as...

Re: Birdsall Casting Platform and Fly Rods

That's a good deal on those rods. You could get a lot more for them in the ebay world. I'd buy the 8wt if I didn't have 1 to many already.

Re: A Few Questions

It all depends on why you fish. Some people fish for meat and some for the fun sport of it.

Get you a nice light 8wt. Like above the bvk is nice. I've got one and it's cheap and easy to cast. Floating line chartreuse or tan clousers and you are set. Trout and redfish love them.
