Alligator Point- inshore guy went offshore

Post by bman »

I got invited to ride with a few guys during the BBSWC.
Went in and out of AGP-

We did a lot of trolling near K-Tower and Yamaha.

Caught a good number of grouper and kings but nothing to make the leader board.

Trolling those stretch 30's works but just reeling the lures in is work!

The fightinest fish of the trip was a Bonita my friend Tyler caught- man those things pull.

Billy with a nice Grouper...

And another

Also had a ton of these little buggers hit the lures- what the heck!

We finished with enough to eat while we were down at the coast and for everyone to have some fish to take home.
Tyler and I with a few of the grouper and Kings...

I did learn that I'm not much of a troller... I like feeling the bite.
Some of the most fun for me was doing some bottom fishing at a black sea bass hole- they are not big but man do they taste good!

If those lizzard fish were bigger they'd attack the boat. Good weekend b-man.

Lizard fish are some nasty looking little critters.

Nice Bonita (they are called Little Tunny as well right?) We got into a school of those in Panama City trolling with stretch 30's and had a lot of fun with them. They bleed like crazy though.

Looks like a good day! Way to B!

Very nice bman. I second the comment about the attraction of grouper to lizard fish.

I bet we can convert you to an offshore angler now. It’s not hard to get the bug.

I was in the keys two weeks ago, caught the biggest lizardfish I've ever seen. Weighed between 3 and 4 pounds. I dropped him down trying to catch a grouper, and told my dad if anything eats him I may be scared to bring it up. Nice trip, need to get offshore more often!
