Beaver Hair For Flies

Post by Flanders »

We have a new group of beavers that have taken over our pond. The last one we "took care of" we skinned him and have his hide salted. Does the beaver hair work well?
I come from a small drinking community with a fishing problem

I bet that the flies would float with the beaver hair. It wouldn't get water logged as easy as deer hair.

What is the length of the hairs? Isn't beaver hair more fine that deer? Cut me off a 5x5 patch and lets see what we can come up with.
