G3 Question

Post by Flint River Pirate »

Who fishes with a G3 on here? I saw a 1756 in person yesterday and it looks like a very nice boat. It had a 60 on it and the owner was very happy with it. I was wondering if anyone on here had any opinions.

I like my 1756 G3 with CC. The 40 2 stroke Yamaha is fine on it.

I've had a 1756 with a 50 2 stroke and it was fine. They build a good boat, I've owned 3 before buying my SeaArk.

I have one of the oldest 18/60 G-3 boats in the area, got it in 99 with a 75 2 stroke yammy from Mikes marine in Panacea. Other than having a few welds rewelded i love it. God knows i've put this thing to the test.

Picked up a 2005 G3 1756, with a 70 two stroke, two years ago, my first boat. Own several fishing kayaks and never thought I'd own a boat. It's light, easy to trailer, easy to launch by myself, easy on the gas. Great boat!

I bought Capt K's G3 1756 with 60 hoss Yam 2S a few years ago and really like it. Its cheap on fuel, rides darn good for a small alum boat and its stable. For me, fishing the flats and lakes here in North GA with 2-3 people its a fine combination. Its the center console style which I prefer.

I have an 1860 center console with a 60 four stroke Yamaha. I have had it for 3 years and have no complaints. Very stable, easy to handle and trailer, and it sips gas. I would not go back to my fiberglass boat, especially for around here.
