What are you throwing at them? Hardbaits or softies on a jig head, etc? I've had a little luck on both, but the bite has been awfully slow in the rivers.mpa_72001 wrote:fish very slowwwwwww!!!!

Mirrolure's have been working. Look around for the 808 color, Catch 2000. Or the ones that are sort of "pearl" on the sides, blackish on top, orange on the bottom, Mirrodine.
I understand Rapala makes some similar product, but I've not tried them.
Go north of the dock a few hundred yards, or north or south of the island. Its easy to see where the bite is 'cause if its on there will be other boats around!
Of course, spring is coming fast and then its back to live shrimp!

Can't come soon enough! I'm tired of donating jig heads to oysters...mpa_72001 wrote:Spring means top water action!

Are the trout in the Aucilla still near the landing haven't been but once and wore them out. We did not get to look around much they were biting so good right there. Did get on some nice ones at St. Marks a little south.

They were not there yesterday and it was not for lack of boats! Plenty of folks fishing, did not see anyone catching.
Ducks, turkeys, flats fishing. Who has time for golf?
Re: Aucilla River trout
Thinking of going this weekend has anyone heard where the trout are.
