Sorry guys. We are going to Anky Friday, so there will not be many fish left.
Trout in the AM, shallow grouper at noon, trout in the PM.
But Good luck!

I am going to try out Econfina for the first time this Saturday. I have been fishing St. Marks the last five years so I think it is time to try out a different location. I am tired of the new boaters in St. Marks. I have never understood why boaters have to get within 50 yards of you while fishing when there is a whole ocean out there.
When you catch so many, you just stop counting.

Sounds like my buddy's recent trip to Horseshoe. He counted 83 boats in one area and one boat got within casting distance where they were fishing, so they casted into their boat to prove a point.MIAcanes44 wrote:I am going to try out Econfina for the first time this Saturday. We started around 9:30 and had 8 trout keepers by 12. After 12 the bite turned off for us and didn't catch anything else but big sail cats.

15 Keeper trout, 3 flounder and 1 blue. This rain and cold might mess them up for coming weekend.Bluewave wrote:How did it go at Ecofina this past weekend we are going this coming Sat. 4/19 weekend

If you bleed it when caught, ice it well, and cut off the red meat they are delicious.
