launched at daybreak, tried a couple spots down stream, no luck. went to power plant, anchored 30 yd. upstream from no wake sign. caught about 25 short trout up to 14". seen boats pass but all came back. saw other boats catch shorts also. did catch one 18" trout around an oyster bar. hope this helps.

Ok well sounds like you had a pretty good day. Better to catch shorts than nothing at all. I think I'm gonna hold off from going tomorrow. Weather isn't the greatest and my wife was going to be with me. She likes sunny days. Thanks a lot for the info. Boats all ready so I will be headed down soon.

Three of us went Thursday. Launched kayaks and headed up to Pelican Point. Not much activity, but did catch a keeper trout about half a mile north of Pelican. Even the creeks were quiet, a few mullet jumping, but not much of a bite.

I took a couple friends out this past Monday, one was vacationing from Stuart and wanted catch redfish. Started out at the oyster bars north of light house, fish'n was slow ,put one 18" in live well. Went out to 15' to see if there were any black sea bass biting from Mr Mullets reports. Spent a couple hours did manage put about dozen 11-12" keepers in the box. Still wanted to put Andrew on some reds so we fished last of incoming back just north of light house. We did get 6-8 nice fish, released the one in livewell and kept two to clean up to 23".
The day ended with a couple beers and some nice filets.
