New Google Maps satellite view - better than last

Post by Ted in Tallahassee »

I just noticed that Google very recently updated it's satellite pics on the Google Maps site, and boy the pics of the St. Marks inshore areas are just excellent. You can tell the water was clear and it was low low tide. Great clarity of the rocks in the Rock Garden area--many exposed--and oyster bars & deep channels are clearly visible. Excellent and free navigation & fishing spots research tool.

Zooming in tight, it even reveals some of the beater kayaks I have staked down in the salt marsh from Panacea to Econfina.

DAMN!

Time to add some points to the hummingbird, the view at steinhatchee isn't that clear. I wonder if it hasn't updated.
