Don't forget to watch for sting rays. Seen a few out there even in 55 degree water, and don't step on any crabs they have a tendency to leave you with a heck of a pinch.

I watched a guy wade fish on the bay side out from Eagle Point or Eagle something state park in Panacea. The short time I was there, he picked up a couple of reds. There were some good bars and cuts not very far offshore. You might give this a try.
