Anyone ever towed a kayak behind their boat?

Towing a kayak -

I haven't ever towed mine, but I have loaded it in my boat and driven to the area I want to fish.

The big boat is a 21 Sea Pro Bay, the kayak is a 12' Necky sit inside. The Sea Pro has gunnel rails down each side that you can slide a pool noodle on to make a rest for the kayak. It works out pretty good.

I've towed mine, ran a rope up through one of the front scuppers and down through the other front scupper and tied it close enough for the bow of the yak to be secure on the swim platform.

Towing a kayak

I just want to find out if it would flip and roll, or worse surf right into motor or transom ..... or ME. I'd think you'd have to tow it empty, and be carefull with the stops. If I can I'll do a test run to see how it acts.
