Keaton beach 8/8/09
he trout are still bitting good despite the 89 degree water temperature. We had the best action in the first couple hours of the out going tide fishing in 6-7' water, ended up with 16 trout. We were throwing pinfish most of the time.
The biggest fish was around 22' but most were nice fish around 17-18''.
Spend a couple of hours scalloping but were apparently in the wrong place, only managed to round up a couple of gallons.

We were no more than a couple of miles north of the north bird rack. They're there, you just need to put in the time and fish the right tide. Also, it helps to fish slow to give the fish time to find your bait and to let them eat it for a few seconds before setting the hook.DixieReb wrote:Hey, BB, did yall fish North or South? Hey, thanks. I can speak for a lot of us here that you have helped us a lot. That area is one of my favorites, too.

If BreamBuster did not tell where he fishes, you could not catch any fish.MudDucker wrote:I can't believe he didn't give the obvious answer ... Yes ...DixieReb wrote:Hey, BB, did yall fish North or South? Those sure are some nice trout.
