Juvenile Blueline Tilefish maybe? Pretty tough angle but that's what it looks like to me.

Definitely looks like a tilefish to me. Where was it caught? I was always under the impression that they preferred really deep water.
NOAA reports are the reason I have trust issues.

That was what I had decided. Sand Tilefish. The picture I had was a little more blue than the one I caught. I caught it out from Mexico Beach while snapper fishing in about 150 ft water. Have never stumbled on one of these before
