I put into Shield's launch last Sun...tried to contact the marina for a "radio-check"...no response, etc. I get "squelch" but no radio contact. I can't seem to send or receive...I'll contact "Standard/Horizon" for help.

THANKS!

VHF Radios

I have an older "Horizon" model VHF radio...it had not worked until I re-wired my electrics. I now can turn it on; & scan up/down channels; I can hear/get squelch; etc... etc...but can't seem to receive anything, even on Channel 16. I tried transmitting this past weekend but no luck either.

I had ...

Outboard Support when Trailering

I have a 90HP 4-stroke outboard on my flats boat...most have told me that using the engine support(s) that come stock on the engine that you flip up/down, will work OK while trailering the boat to keep the engine secure from bouncing around. However, I noticed in the Honda manual that they recommend ...

Yak,
I didn't really mean "paint" but didn't know what else to use to convey my meaning...I suppose any vinly, self-adhesive stencil/lettering would work.

I guess most any sign company would be capable of doing this (?). I was just wondering if there was special material, adhesive, etc that would ...

Boat Name Stenciling

Anyone know a good source in Tallahassee or along the coast to get a name painted or stenciled on a side of your boat?

Ramon,
my deck is like others...rough, so to avoid slippage when walking around, fishing, etc. Will this adversely affect the sedek material from sticking to the deck surface well?

Metal Fabricators

TinCan,
I noticed you purchased the "transom mount" version. Without a forward leg mounted on deck, do you get any "sway" when moving around on it? It looks like a deck mounted support would provide more stability (?).

Looks good though!

Guys,
if a REAL amateur wanted to get into fly-fishing here in the Big Bend area for Redfish, etc, could someone list what ALL rigging one would need to just get started!? That is rod, reel, lb line, leader, bait, etc...!

Thanks!
