Re: Bait for fish traps?

The best pinfish bait is a large female pinfish at the peak of her estrous cycle. :smt007 They are hard to catch to say the least. You will need lots of cash, diamonds, flowers, an endless supply of chapstick for kissing butt, you must place her on a pedestal above all others. You will spend lots ...

Re: Bait for fish traps?

Thanks Tom. Kim will appreciate that. I think I'll try the squid, it would probably last longer.

Bait for fish traps?

My wife and I are planning on taking off the 21-25 and renting a place at Shellpoint with a dock and it comes with some fish traps. I was wondering what to put in them so I could hopefully catch some baitfish. Any advice on the best bait for the traps? I'll pick up some live shrimp (my favorite bait ...

Re: New Evinrude E Techs?

Quick question...what oil do you have to use in the E-Techs? I had a salesman (granted he was trying to sell me a Honda 4 stroke) tell me that you have to run a specific oil in it to keep the warranty. He also said that the oil cost like $40 a gallon. Was that just more 'sales speak'?

A Great Weekend...NOT!

Well....on Saturday the wife and I decided to take our boat out. We get to the ramp at Shellpoint and get the boat in the water, evrythings going well so far. We idle out past the no wake zone and open it up. Hmmm, the boat won't plane and it doesn't sound quite right...it's only pulling 2800 RPM ...

Recommendation for electrical work?

Hey all,

I'm looking to have a new wire pulled for powering my GPS/Fishfinder. Any recommendations on a good shop around Panacea/St.Marks? I was going to do it myself but I don't have the time.

I'm running a 19 foot wellcraft center console. It has a V hull. I've used it to drift the flats at St. Marks so as long as I have 2 feet of water I'm good. I've used it trout and redfish fishing before and as long as I'm careful setting up the drift I've never had any problems. I've also used it ...

Going fishing out of Carrabelle- Any advice

My granddad and an uncle are coming down on Friday to do some fishing with me. I've already booked beds at the Moorings at Carrabelle and I also have a slip to put the boat in. None of us have been fishing around there so all I have is what people have said online here and my charts. My plan is to ...

Yep, I have a raw water wash and it got used a lot! I still wound up with some stains that I'm going to have to work on :( . Makes me wonder what the heck those things are eating besides other fish. Any recommendations on a good stain cleaner that won't remove my gel coat?
