Keaton Beach 4/18 - 4/19
Headed down to KB for a nice weekend of fishing. Me and my buddy went out about 1:00 on Friday to fish the afternoon. The afternoon got off to a great start when within 30 minutes of wetting a hook, I hooked up with a nice cobia on a suspending plug. 20 minutes and a sore wrist later, I had my first ...

How about this for weird fish?
I've posted this on here before, but in 2 consecutive summers, I caught a 4 foot (estimated) Tarpon and a 3+ foot "Hound Fish." I didn't have the tarpon but for about 5 seconds, but it jumped twice before it got off. Look up "hound fish pics" on google to see what that crazy joker looks like.

Yeah, the houndfish was the highlight of my trip. B/c I didn't know what it was, I wasn't sure whether I could keep it or not....I took a couple pics of it, so I look forward to getting those developed (took a disposable camera). I was glad I side-hooked that bad boy, b/c I didn't want to touch his ...

Went with a big group (7 guys/3 boats) for the weekend.
Got in the water around 2:00 pm on Friday (man, it was windy and rough). Fishing was pretty solid...lots of fish variety (smacks, ladies, cats, pilot fish, blues, etc). One of our boats limited out easily, the other two did pretty well (6-8 ...

Well, what can I say? The weather was brutal, but since we were there we had to do some fishing and it paid off.
Friday, went out around 11:00 after it had warmed up a bit. After a lot of searching, we found the fish had gone deep. We ONLY caught fish in 7 ft of water, with water temps exactly 70 ...
