They moved the gag grouper season in this area to April 1 thru Jun 30 because the gags are pretty much in deeper waters come July and this area of state waters is pretty shallow. Also, I do believe if you catch gags in federal waters in July, you are fine when you get to shore. The problem arises if ...

Thanks for the replies. However, all I can confirm is that red snapper season has been extended for Gulf of Mexico STATE waters and the feds should confirm the extension sometime in mid September. As far as I can tell, the feds have voted to extend the season but it hasnt been approved yet. Am i ...

Has anyone heard if the reopening of red snapper season in federal waters (Gulf of Mexico) has been officially approved. I read the FWC has officially opened it beginning Oct 1-Nov 22 for Fri-Sun each week only. They did this based on the Feds approving it in federal waters but it still wasnt ...

Thanks for all the help. Is there a launch in Mashes Sands? I have an older map that shows one at the mouth of the Oclocknee on the east side in Mashes Sands. Would save me some distance on my boat.

I have a Trophy 2802 which is around 30' with a 10' beam and about 7000 lbs (dry weight). It drafts in the 2'-2 1/2' range with twin outboards.
