Re: Hunting on State Parks?
This opposition is BS. Hunters/fisherman are better land stewards than the general public,. When land is purchased by the state it is removed from the local tax rolls. Guess who pays more taxes to make up for the smaller tax base. The state has always limited access to state properties. case in ...

Be advised that the license is for 1 year. If you get plastic it is only good for 1 year

Re: Bear attack in Eastpoint
I have no desire to kill a bear and probably wouldn't even if it was legal, but the hunting population is feed up with bears destroying feeds, hunting camps. etc. I would be willing to bet a lot of bears are not living to a ripe old age today.

Re: Bear attack in Eastpoint
don't know about the bear problem in Northwest Fl, but in Northeast Fl they are a real issue. Bears are one of the smartest animals in the woods. The state keeps trapping and relocating them which moves the problem from one area to another. There are entirely too many bears in Fl. as witnessed by ...

Re: Isn't it nice to get a 70% raise
Please vote 'NO' on amendment 1. While this sounds good the truth is that the poor/rural counties in Florida cannot afford it. I live in Putnam County and our county commissioners have ''purchased' large tracts of land. What this means is that this property comes off the tax rolls and guess who ...

Re: Eating Shark?
Grill shark like steak, hot fire and lemon/butter to baste. Blacktip/atlantic sharpnose (white spots on body) are both good, but bonnethead not so good. The reason being a mature bonnethead is only about 4' long. Absolute imperative kill and bleed ASAP Used to cut off head to bleed, but with new ...

Re: Scallop Season to Open Early
You see them in the river, but not in the gulf where people are putting others life at risk, also seems like the boats selected in the river have young girls in bikinis, guess it makes it easier for an inspection
Re: Friday
This year is shaping up to be a replay of last year. If the rain does not stop this years scalloping will be a bust. the people depend on scallop season as their Christmas season. Hope it ends!!!

Re: Gas Leak in Bilge
As Paul Harvey use to say- Now for the rest of the story - problem was sending unit, Tank was full of gas that would expand and leak in the bilge. Had larger access panel. sending unit, installed works great and still have a full tank of gas. tank turned out to be plastic and in good shape. Tech ...

Re: Gas Leak in Bilge
There is no way I am going to try a fix or start boat. A little more background - I put 8 gals of fresh gas in boat, started and ran for 29 mins. Shut off, when I came back later could smell gas, checked bilge, saw gas, added detergent, dried bilge and left. Checked next day, okay, checked 2 days ...

Gas Leak in Bilge
I have a boat with a gas leak in the bilge. The tank is built-in and I have not had it pressure tested yet, but strongly suspect it is the tank. The tank is fiberglass and the boat was built in 2000. The company (pro-sports) is not in business any more. I am looking for any input as to possible ...
