Re: Freshwater boat ramp

The only freshwater ramp I know of close to Carrabelle is Ochlocknee River State Park and the ramp is not very big.

I upgraded the steering from cable to hydraulic and there's no play in the engine. It gets up on plane easily with the 115 Yamaha and I don't have any problems with porpoising. I have never heard that trim tabs would help with low speed steering, but I guess it helps steady the rear of the boat and...

Re: I-10 to 7 Bridges on the upper Aucilla

I have been to the river on 7 Bridges Rd and when the water is low it seems like several small holes connected by swamp. I wonder how much water is there now.

Re: St. Marks 6/5/21

The boat is listed at a 10" draft, so I'm calling it 14" and considering 18" the minimum depth, but I don't know how high the highest rocks are in there. Sounds like a good day fishing! There are a few rocks out there that are exposed on a low tide and Navionics has most of them mark...

I think a manatee took it!
BillytheKid wrote: June 7th, 2021, 9:14 pm Cooler lid returned. Good luck on the phone. Maybe if we drain the river like Lake Jackson.
I'm sure there would be lots of stuff to look at on the bottom of that river!

I haven't fished out there in years, but might try again soon. There are a few others just about as close but they probably get hit hard as well.

Re: Miami Boat Ramps

I will never complain about the St Marks boat ramps again! Well maybe just a little when someone is parked in the middle of the road and talking on the phone :(

Great report! Were the trout in the slot? Hopefully I will be putting the boat in this weekend. I'm sure all the ramps will be busy.

It looked like it! I had a hard time telling if there was a ramp there or not.
