I've got one with me at all times on the kayak... LOVE IT! I've got one of those little iPod shuffles (about the size of a silver dollar) that plays the music. My car key-fob goes inside as well as my iPhone.
PERFECT for me on the yak!

Re: Good news...Water Wars
If it is anything other than the natural flow, somebody's going to "lose" one way or another. I've always said, if the lake is going to stay in place, let the water release mimick the natural flow of water dependent on rainfall/runoff and any springs (assuming there are any)... Sometimes that would ...

Gots my little mini-iddy-bitty Shakespeare combo spooled with 4# Vanish... Have bait and ready to travel!
I'm hitting the hooch tomorrow after work in the kayak for some browns (trout... not going far enough South for the other "browns" in the hooch)... I'm going to practice for July!!!

Oh, man! I'll try to get pictures over the next few days... I've been fishing every day on Lake Lanier! I've added 4 Driftmaster rodholders and gotten her rigged for striper fishing up here!
She is working out very well! The only thing I hate about the paint is how clean and white it is. I'm ...

Re: Duke's Rehab of the CABO 204 Centercon...
Thanks... The more I'm crawling around "finishing" it all up, the more little flaws I see... I can't imagine the first fishing trip... 8oz. leads hitting the hull sides, pinfish traps on the gunnels and hitting the floor, coolers sliding around... OMG!!!!
Oh well... It has to happen, so I just hope ...

Re: Duke's Rehab of the CABO 204 Centercon...
The company is, (or WAS) called Cabo Marine, LLC. They built them out of California for 5 years (1987 through 1991).
When people ask me what kind of boat I have, I just say, "Oh, it's a little Cabo... Nothing big."

Well, she's back at home and all hatches, etc.... are installed. Motor is hooked up and thank GOD, it runs! In fact, she cranked up faster than she ever did before the resto! I guess I cleaned some of the terminals dismantling and re-installing! Meli would have FREAKED had it not cranked back up ...

Re: Wiring, Controls and Switches
I don't have any new pictures worth posting... YET! I've got an epidural today, so I won't be at the boat today. Tomorrow, I'll snap some pictures of the wiring harnesses in the bilge (they sure are pretty and clean now)! Pictures of the wiring bundles in the console (half-way done now and they sure ...

Re: Wiring, Controls and Switches
Yep... My yammer has the same ignition plate and operation: Key can operate choke, switch can operate choke and finally, the manual lever on the motor can operate choke. As far as I know, only the lever on the motor is fully "manual"... The other two are electronic. I've never used the toggle before ...

Well, with the "final" major coat of paint done, here's where I'm at now...
Had to re-core the fuel tank hatch/cover with endgrain balsa and pedestal seat backing, coated with 3 layers of fiberglass cloth.
Need to do:
Finish sanding/prepping all hatches for paint (primer, finish paint)
Tape off ...

Re: Duke's Rehab of the CABO 204 Centercon...
Thanks everyone... Okay, a couple of answers here...
Ready by February? I doubt it. I've got to re-rig the boat AFTER I'm done and what I've got left to do will answer Tom's question too...
